Ankesh Kothari is a Dehradun lad who has quickly become the favorite model for ad agencies. He started his Fashion modeling career with Uttarakhand Fashion Festival in 2017 and was scouted by the Ninja Model Management a year ago. Recently, Ankesh spoke with Himalayan Buzz and told us about himself.

Tell us about your childhood and education
I was born and brought up in DEHRADUN….so no wonder if you find a lot of references to city life in my experiences. I did my schooling in the city and now am pursuing my graduation from there only.

How did you get into modeling?
Initially, I went for modeling just out of curiosity but then with constant learning, I got passionate about it and here I am still discovering, learning and evolving!

What was your first big Modelling Job?
It was for The Man Magazine

Who is your favorite designer?
Kunal Rawal is a designer who is very close to my heart as he always supports the newcomers, gives them opportunities and constantly boosts their confidence

What has been your most memorable modeling experience so far?
I have to say that working with The Man Magzine was a great experience which I cannot ever forget because that was my first shoot and it transformed me into a more confident model.

 

What would you be doing, if you weren’t modeling?
I would have been in hotel management or the retail Sector.

Which brand/designer would you really love to model for?
My favorite brand/designer is Tom Ford. I feel that its style sense reflects my personality and I would love to represent this brand

What are some of your favorite things?
My favorite things are trekking and visiting my village.

Which is your favorite movie?
I love the cinematic experience of Interstellar.

Which is your favorite holiday destination?
Andaman. The scenic beauty of the ocean is quite mesmerizing and you will fall in love the moment you experience it.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Always have a big goal in your life and then break it down into smaller goals and achieve them one by one. Soon, you’ll be on your path to success.

What always makes you laugh?
I always look to escape the mad rush of life and spend time with my childhood friends because the things we do together are inexplicable.

Any suggestions for newcomers?
Make sure you actually want to be a model because there is a lot of struggle and hard work. The only way to survive in this industry is through passion, dedication, and honesty towards this profession.
