Congratulations on winning. Let us know about your childhood and education?
Thank you for your wishes. I’m born and raised in Dehradun but basically, my roots are from Rudraprayag. I’ve done my schooling from Dehradun only and currently, I’m pursuing engineering from Uttaranchal University.

How did you celebrate your win?
I celebrated it with my friends and family. Everyone was happy and asked me for a party. So celebrations with family and friends went on daily for about a month.

What was the reaction of your friends and family?
My friends and family were super happy and proud. Some of them were surprised too. Everyone shared the news of my win and was jubilant about the victory.

What was the first thought that came to your mind when they announced your name as the winner?
My first thought when my name was announced was like is it happening actually or am I dreaming? But then everyone rushed towards me and congratulated me and then I was sure that it’s all real and my dream has come true!

Did you expect that win?
Yes of course. Deep inside I was yearning for it but from outside I was being neutral.

How was your experience during Mr. Uttarakhand 2020?
The experience was different. It was different from my day to day life but also, unlike any other experience that I ever had. It was a competition but still, feelings of compassion and fellowship were there among the contestants. Those days were full of learning and practicing and that was one the best experience till now in my life.

How has winning the Mr. Uttarakhand pageant affected your modeling career?
In my modeling career now I think I have a kind of degree that will help me pursue this career with more knowledge and skills.

We all were like friends and used to help each other during the practice sessions. Some of them have become really good friends and most of them are in touch.

Who will you say is your idol or mentor?
I don’t miss learning anything from anyone so everyone who has ever coached me. But in my modeling career, Mr. Gaurav Singh has taught me a lot and I’m thankful to him for everything.

Who was your biggest competition in Mr. Uttarakhand 2020?
I don’t think there was any such competition but we were all trying to give our 100 percent and achieving the best from the opportunity.

What do you think were the judges looking at while deciding the winners?
I think judges were looking at overall personality, confidence, skills, communication, and knowledge.

Did you always want to be a Model? How long you are doing modeling and If not a Model what would you be?
I always wanted to be a model but I started working towards it around 2019. Modeling is what I enjoy the most. Also, I’m doing engineering right now and I think I have some interest in business too.

Tell our readers something about your grooming habits.
Grooming is a basic yet powerful thing to have. And I think a well-groomed man portrays a great impression on anyone he/she meets. In my grooming habits, I make sure my beard and hair are in shape and don’t look unhygienic. It doesn’t matter whether your beard or hairs are short or long until they are looking neat and clean. Also, I do make sure that I’m hitting the gym or doing yoga at home regularly.

Any message to all the aspiring boys who dream of being Mr. Uttarakhand 2020?
Yes. I’ll say that believe in yourself. Give it a try. Never demoralize yourself. Don’t worry about losing. You either win or you learn. Limits are just in mind and pushing those limits is all that we have to do. And obviously, work hard towards it with all your heart and soul.
Lastly, I’ll thank Himalayan Buzz for this opportunity and looking forward to making myself, my mentors, my parents and Himalayan Buzz proud.
