The Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD) Elections held on 23rd April, 2017 brought major winning in the kitty of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). In the elections, BJP won 184 seats bettering their existing strength from the last elections where they got 138 seats out of 270.

The gamble of BJP clearly paid off as ahead of the MCD elections, BJP gave out tickets to the new candidates instead of the old. The same tactic was followed that PM Narendra Modi followed when he was Gujarat’s Chief Minister (CM).

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured second position with 46 seats in its kitty while Congress could just manage to grab 30 seats.

Uttarkhand natives took it over by grabbing 9 areas out of all which surely brought more of self esteem and boost to conquer over, in the people of Uttarakhand.

On this win, a message of congratulations has been given to all the elected people by their native land, Uttarakhand:

“We feel pride, and are honoured to share that, in the 2017 elections of Municipal Corporation Delhi, 9 natives of Uttarakhand have been elected as, “Municipal Councillor”. This is indeed a word of delight for Uttarakhand Community.

We would like to congratulate:-

Veer Singh Panwar: Dilshaad Garden (BJP)

Neeta Bisht: Karawal Nagar (BJP)

Neema Bhagat: Geeta Colony (BJP)

Geeta Rawat: Vinod nagar (AAP)

Rajni Pandey: New Ashok Nagar (BJP)

Maya Bisht: Sangam Vihar – E (BJP)

Vijay Rawat: Peeragadhi (BJP)

Kaustuba Nand Balaudhi: Kamal Vihar – Buradi (BJP)

We, the Uttarakhand Community, give heartily congratulations to all the elected members and wish them all the luck for their future endeavours and expect them to develop their prospective areas with all the honesty and conscientiousness.”

Uttarakhand Community is quite happy about the elections. It is good to see people from small lands are also been included and given a chance. It will help in bringing up the morale of the small townies who want to come ahead and achieve something big in their lives.

Be it a gamble, a tactic or a concerned move, this trend by PM Narendra Modi to promote deserving people from small lands is highly appreciated as he is truly proving his statement, “Ache Din aane wale hai “, and we must say, “Ache din aa gye hai”, and we are all happy with the idea initiated by PM Narendra Modi. Kudos to the work.
