Uttrakhand beauty Anukriti Gusain recently tied the knot with Tushit Rawat, son of Cabinet minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat. The two performed the wedding rituals in Dehradun. After the wedding ceremony, the couple went to their ancestral village to perform Dhara Pujan. A very sacred tradition, Dhara pujan is one of the most auspicious religious proceedings. Anukriti Gusain and her husband reached Gadh on Monday. All villagers welcomed the newly wedded bride and groom. Women of the community decked Anukriti, the new bride, with garlands. The wedded couple visited the holy temple to seek God’s blessings upon the start of their new journey. Elderly people of the village blessed the couple.
Everyone was trying to get a snap along with Miss India Grand International. Managing the crowd was difficult for the authorities as large number of people came to see the new duo.
The paternal village of Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, Cabinet Minister, is 20km away from Srinagar. A grand lunch buffet was hosted by the family abide by the traditions. The menu included sweet rice, special rajma brought from Purola. Everyone was served a meal following the practice of sitting in a Panghat. Himself, Dr. Harak Singh Rawat, ate along with the villagers. He said that as the custom of sitting in Panghat continues, the lunch was hosted in the same manner. Sitting amongst the huge crowd of people waiting to meet and bless the couple, he ate along. Eminent guests BJPYM minister Suraj Dildhiyal, Rakesh Dhyani, Girish Painyuli, Jitendra Rawat, Anurup Bahuguna, Anurag Chamoli, Rajendra Bhandari, Pramila Bhandari, Devi Rawat, Heera Lal Jain, Laxmi Rawat, Bunty Jagwan, and Dinesh Chamoli were also present.
The event concluded with guests wishing and blessing the couple a happy married life ahead.
