The Emerging Fashion Designer India Contest 2023 was held at Ashok Spa & Resorts on 17 December 2023 in Dehradun. Mansi Rawat from Dehradun emerged as winner while Piyush Shukla from Chandigarh secured the second position and Gurpreet Kaur from Bijnor, UP secured the third position.
Organized by Dis Cultured, in association with Himalayan Buzz, the show featured designers hailing from diverse regions, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Punjab. The program also showcased the promising talents of students from the Sai Fashion Design Institute.
The panel of judges comprised of Lavanya Ahuja of Frontrow Couture and Ameesha Basera, Femina Miss India Uttarakhand 2023.
During the occasion, designs were meticulously assessed based on creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation. The show was attended by the who’s who of the city who thoroughly enjoyed the sequences.
Organizers expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “This showcase is a testament to the incredible pool of talent in India’s fashion landscape. We are delighted to provide a platform for emerging designers and the next generation of creative minds.
