The favourite TV commercials model turned actor Ashish Bisht was entitled Best Debut Actor at Asian Vision Awards. The awards night was held on 1st December 2017 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Dubai. Along with him, Mithoon also received an award for the music of ‘Shab’.
Though ‘Shab’ is Bollywood debut of Ashish Bisht, TV commercial producers and audience have loved him alike since long. He has worked for international brands like Pepsi, Shiksha.com and Center Fresh. Ashish Bisht hails from Almora district in Uttarakhand. His early education was completed in Uttrakhand and later he moved to Delhi for further studies. But he wanted to make a career in the entertainment industry and so he took the decision to shift to Mumbai. Nothing changed regarding his love for the homeland and soon he rose to fame with his charm and hard work. His debut movie has a resemblance in terms of the setting, how a boy chases his dreams guided solely by passion. He has also worked along established actresses like Priyanka Chopra in ad commercials.
Ashish was cast in his debut movie along with Raveena Tandon. Onir found him perfect for a script that was so bold that it had to wait for 17 years. Though Ashish Bisht in his interviews expressed his awkwardness in doing such scenes. He played the role of a model who comes to the big city to fulfil his dreams and faces unexpected twists in his life.
The Asian Vision Awards are based on voting done by the public. The award night is held every year, for honouring South Indian Cinema’s stars. Actress Deepika Padukone was also present at the awards night, along with her co-stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, from movie ‘Padmavati’.
