Looking at his pictures you may believe that he is from Turkey, but actually, Aasim Khan hails from a small town in Uttar Pradesh Saharanpur. Aasim Khan is a well-known face in Fashion Industry & willing to start his acting career soon. Himalayan Buzz Team recently interviewed him.

Tell us about your childhood, family & education
I was born in Saharanpur. My father was a doctor. I have two siblings also who are engineers. I have done my schooling at two schools Asha Modern and Lord Mahavira Academy. I was a keen participant in all sports especially cricket and other noncurricular activities. I was an above-average student in my school life and recently finished my civil engineering.

How did you get into modeling?
I wished to be part of the glitz industry since my childhood and grab all the stardom. I started my career by participating in a pageant in Dehradun and was part of the top 3. Hence, I decided to stay consistent with my passion and walk every mile for it. Looking forward to all the opportunities with my engineering, I kept on taking big or small projects. Because every feather counts.

How did you get your first break in the industry?
India runway week, I heard about the auditions, went for it putting my best foot forward, and ended up walking the ramp for some amazing renowned designers.
I still remember how difficult it was for a college student and someone who had no connections in the industry. The next morning when I woke up, I saw my picture in Delhi times, and it all began from there.

What are the main jobs you have done so far?
When it comes to my job I am very versatile hence I am always hooked to every opportunity from Print, fashion, magazine shoots to top-notch TVC for Hero Honda, The Lalit, etc., video songs, and big designer campaigns like Tarun Tahiliani, Mintblush, and many more.

What is your dream project/ where do you see yourself in the coming years?
I wished to see myself on the big screen since my childhood and acting has been my calling always. I enjoy walking the ramp and continued that, but I definitely dream of working with YRF production and entering Bollywood with a bang.

Who is your favorite designer?
All designers are my favorite, and I am grateful to them for allowing me to work with them but I feel that Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s godly creations are my dream as traditional outfits enhance my features well.

What are you currently obsessed with/about?
I am currently obsessed with working on and creating a better version of myself with every passing day.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
It may sound cliche, but the biggest advice I have always adhered to is: Don’t fall for shortcuts, work hard on your weaknesses and keep believing in yourself because what comes easy, doesn’t last long!
