The second edition of the Dehradun Food Awards was held on June 5 at Hotel Regenta. The event brought together chefs, restaurant owners, hoteliers, and food industry professionals to celebrate the best in the business.
The awards were given away by Shri Subodh Uniyal, Cabinet Minister of Uttarakhand, who was the Chief Guest. He congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the hospitality industry in promoting local cuisine and tourism.
Mrs. Poonam Chand, Additional Director- Uttarakhand Tourism Board attended the event as the Guest of Honor and shared her views on the growing food culture in the city.
The event also featured a panel discussion on “Elevating Culinary Tourism in Uttarakhand: The Role of Hotels in Showcasing Local Flavors.” The discussion focused on how hotels and restaurants can play a bigger role in promoting regional dishes and ingredients.
The panel included Ajit Singh Gandhi – General Manager at Hyatt Centric, Avinash Mishra – founder at Badmaash Kebabi, Anand Kanti – founder at Sunburn Bistro and Indrajit Roy, Founder ar Agilis Hospitality. The session was moderated by Amit Minocha, Managing Director at Maldevta Farms.
The awards were an initiative of Himalayan Buzz Admedia, presented by Maya Devi University and The Big Daddy Events Company.
The evening ended with networking, food tasting, and recognition of individuals and brands who are shaping Dehradun’s food industry.
