The recently concluded grand finale of Himalayan Buzz Mr. Uttarakhand 2025, held at Fairfield by Marriott, Dehradun, was a celebration of confidence, charisma, and ambition. Among the many deserving contenders, it was Ayush Rawat who stood out, earning the coveted title of Mr. Uttarakhand 2025. Joining him on the podium were Aman Singh Negi, awarded 1st Runner Up, and Abhishek Aryan, named 2nd Runner Up, both commendable in their own right.
In this exclusive interview, Ayush reflects on his journey to the crown, shares his inspirations, and offers insight into what lies ahead for the reigning titleholder.
How does it feel to hold the title of Mr. Uttarakhand 2025?
Firstly, I would like to thank Himalayan Buzz for providing such a wonderful opportunity and platform to all of us. Holding the title of Mr. Uttarakhand 2025 feels incredible — like I’m on cloud nine. It has boosted my confidence and given me a chance to connect with people who share similar interests in the industry.
What was the most challenging part of your journey during the competition?
My exam schedule clashed with the sub-contests. Giving exams in the morning at one end of Dehradun and rushing to the other side for pageant activities was definitely challenging. But honestly, I enjoyed the entire process. I saw it as a perfect opportunity to work on my fitness and showcase my skills, rather than viewing it as a struggle.
How did you prepare mentally and physically for the finale?
I started working out more regularly and included running in my routine, which has now become a daily habit. Mentally, I was encouraged, motivated, and inspired by friends and mentors who had experience and believed in me. I didn’t do anything extraordinary — being surrounded by a good support system made all the difference.
What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?
I was listening as my friends’ names were announced for different titles. In those moments, memories of our time together flashed in my mind — the fun, the bonding, the activities we participated in. When the suspense reached its peak, and my name was finally called, that moment grabbed my full attention and left me speechless.
Who has been your biggest support system throughout this journey?
My biggest support has been my family, friends, mentors, and even the other contestants. The passion, confidence, and motivation I received from all of them constantly pushed me to deliver my best and stay focused.
Tell us about a moment during the pageant that truly defined your experience.
The moment that defined my experience was when my name was called on stage as the winner of Mr. Uttarakhand 2025. It was the final title to be announced, and everyone was waiting eagerly. Those five to ten minutes of suspense, with memories of sub-contests and joyful moments playing in my head, truly summed up what this entire journey meant to me.
What does being Mr. Uttarakhand mean to you beyond the crown?
Pageants are competitions where some win and others learn. But beyond the crown, I feel I’ve gained a responsibility — to carry the title with dignity, inspire others, and contribute positively to society. It’s about being a role model and making a difference in the lives of aspiring individuals.
How do you plan to use this platform to inspire or impact others in the state?
This title has become a part of my identity and gives me a voice to inspire others. Mr. Uttarakhand carries influence, and with it, I hope to bring out the best in myself while encouraging others to do the same. I want to raise awareness on important social issues and create a lasting impact not just in Uttarakhand, but wherever I go.
What message would you give to young men aspiring to join pageants like this?
Always give your best. Pageants are not just about appearances. Your communication, the way you carry yourself, your personality, and most importantly, your passion and effort matter the most. If you’re dedicated and true to your purpose, success will follow.
What’s next for you after winning this title?
Throughout college, I’ve had a deep interest in fashion and modeling. But going forward, I aim to fulfill my childhood dream of joining the defence services. That’s the next big step for me.
