Harshil Panjwani’s journey into architecture and business was shaped long before he held a leadership title. Born in Roorkee and later raised in Dehradun, he grew up between two contrasting worlds. Roorkee gave him structure and discipline, while Dehradun shaped his sensibilities, values, and long-term outlook. Coming from a close-knit family where work, construction, and responsibility were part of everyday conversation, he learned early that good buildings are not just designed, they are built on trust.
Panjwani Architects was founded by his father, Ar. Brij Panjwani, a Gold Medalist from IIT Roorkee, with a clear focus on integrity, technical strength, and thoughtful design. Over the years, the firm grew from a focused architectural practice into a respected name across residential, commercial, hospital, and hotel projects in the region. The foundation was simple and demanding at the same time. Every project had to meet high standards of ethics, detail, and execution. For Harshil, this legacy is deeply personal. He often says that his biggest role model is his father, and his own goal is to live up to that example.
Before stepping into leadership, Harshil spent years understanding the business from the ground up. He worked across design coordination, site execution, client management, and financial planning. Completing the MFAB program at ISB further sharpened his thinking, helping him see the firm not just as a design studio but as a process-driven organisation built for long-term stability.
Since taking charge, his focus has been on bringing structure and clarity into operations. He has introduced defined workflows, tighter project planning, and stronger cost controls, while keeping the firm’s core values intact. The aim has been to make Panjwani Architects consistent, reliable, and ready for scale.
Looking ahead, Harshil is steering the firm toward sustainable growth. Premium homes remain a strong focus, but healthcare and hospitality projects are now a major priority, including hospitals, clinics, hotels, and serviced spaces. Investments in technology, modern construction methods, and environmentally responsible practices are also central to the future roadmap.
For Harshil Panjwani, architecture is about more than buildings. It is about creating spaces that quietly improve lives, and building a legacy defined by trust, quality, and thoughtful design.
