Kiran Bisht: Small Town Girl with a Big Ambition

Kiran Bisht hails from a small town called Haldwani in Uttarakhand. This pretty girl from hills dreams of making it big in the field of modeling. Kiran is based in Delhi & in a short span of time, she has already become a much sought-after model in the fashion Industry.
Recently, Himalayanbuzz caught up with her and had an interview in which shared her interesting journey so far.

Tell us about your childhood, family & education
I was born & brought up in Haldwani & did graduation from MBPG College. Haldwani. My father is working as accommodation in charge of a reputed boarding school. I spent my childhood in Haldwani & moved to New Delhi to pursue my post-graduation. I used to also visit my native village I Kumaon Hills also where I spent many memorable vacations.

How did you get into modeling?
Since the time I remember, I was enthralled by modeling, and beauty pageants. I always wanted to be a beauty queen and coincidently, my journey also started from a beauty pageant.

How did u get your first break in the industry?
I move to Delhi for my studies. Thereafter, I got my portfolio done & approached many agencies. This is how I started.

What are the main jobs you have done so far?
I have worked for many brands & designers to date including INTM, Asha Gautam, DLF properties, Hyatt Regency, Honda TVC, Digital edition of Vogue, and many more

What is your dream project/ where do you see yourself in the coming years?
I wish to see myself in beautifully crafted Sabyasachi Couture & dazzling the ramp for Versace.

Who is your favorite designer?
Sabyasachi and Versace

What are you currently obsessed with/about
I am currently obsessed with runways; I love to walk on-ramps.

 

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
One piece of advice that I cherish the most and also believe in is: Have trust in yourself and your work!
