Uttarakhand’s Rajpal K. K. Pal inaugurated the international Yoga Festival in Paramarth Niketan Ashram situated in Rishikesh. Parmarth Niketan was established in 1942 by Sukhdevanandji Maharaj. The inauguration ceremony of International Yoga Festival witnessed yoga performance by skilled students of the Paramarth Niketan Ashram.

Swami Chidanand Saraswati supervisor of Paramarth Niketan Ashram, Secretary of Tourism department Shailesh Bagoli, Gadhwal Board of Growth Managing Director Atul Kumar Gupta, Shakuntala Rajput President of Local Bodies and eminent Yogis from around the world were glorifying the Inauguration ceremony of International Yoga week.

Yoga has gained immense popularity around the globe propelled by Prime Minister Modi Ji highlighting its importance. Yoga is the practice of controlling the body’s energy and redirecting it to the right path. It not only restricts itself to postures and exercises and in fact is a lifestyle that has to be abided by sincerely. It has been scientifically proven that Yoga is a therapy for the incurable diseases like Diabetes and cancer. In fact for every untreatable disease now scientists and doctors are resorting to natural cure through Yoga.

Rajpal K. K. Pal talked about how Parmarth Niketan Ashram has been the paramount institution for the inauguration of international Yoga week since long. He future went on to say that how Rishikesh itself being the starting point of many religious journeys is the ideal location for the inaugural ceremony of the International Yoga Week. This decision of the Paramarth Niketan and tourists department will spread messages of spiritual significance. The landscape, natural surroundings, purifying Ganga and other attributes of Rishikesh make it suitable for Yoga. He also said that it brings them an immense sense of pride and honor that Prime Minister Modi Ji has declared 21st June as International Yoga Day.

All the Yoga practitioners attending the international Yoga week in Rishikesh will surely be benefited by the program and will take all that is learned to their homeland. This way Yoga as an ancient practice of Asanas, Pranayam, meditation etc. will be immortalized. Yoga isn’t restricted to removing physical difficulties and with the preaching, during the International Yoga Festival, its mental impact will be emphasized.
